The 2017 Whitney Biennial is the first to take place in the museum’s new downtown location. The 78th installment of the show reflects the current socio-political climate, with many of the works on display addressing issues such as income inequality, homelessness, and immigration.
The Biennial features 63 individuals and collectives whose work takes a wide variety of forms, from painting and installation to activism and video-game design. Check out some of our photos above.
